One Wiregrass police department is taking to the internet to fight crime.

The Hartford Police Department is working along side Perverted Justice, a non profit organization, to catch online sex predators before they strike.

“Basically when they start talking or texting with someone on a website, and it turns sexually explicit or goes into the predator wanting to have sex or meet the child for sex, they will contact us,” said Lt. Tim Goad.
