And if you have given the rogue app permission to access your account, it’ll start sending out similar tweets under your account’s name.

Alasdair Allan and Pete Warden, a pair of security researchers, recently discovered that iPhones — as well as 3G-enabled iPads — running iOS 4 constantly record and store their users’ locations in unencrypted files. These files are basically very long lists of latitude-longitude coordinates and timestamps, and they can be found on the devices themselves as well as within the software backups saved on users’ computers.

According to a report by the Daily Telegraph, Facebook is kicking out roughly 20,000 underage users per day.
In a meeting with Australia’s cyber-safety committee, Facebook’s chief privacy adviser Mozelle Thompson agreed that underage users were taking advantage of the site. After all, any user no matter his or her age can register for the site by simply lying when signing up — Facebook has no mechanisms to detect whether a teen is telling the truth or not.

Officials in Douglas County, Georgia, have broken up what they say was a case of “trafficking human beings for the purpose of sexual servitude” believed to have involved child victims from Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina.
The children were lured through social networking sites, put in a dependent situation, then forced to perform sexual favors if they wanted to leave, authorities told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
