Police have already said they believe Knight provided the gun for the shooting, but that the 15-year-old juvenile actually pulled the trigger. Police have also said two other people apparently waited down the street in a vehicle when the shooting happened.

Police also said information technology, such as social media, helped police develop the suspects in the murder.

Multiple agencies, including the Dothan Police Department, Houston County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI, are looking for a suspect accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting two girls and attempting to kidnap a third at Dothan area mobile home parks. The three cases have happened over the last two and a half months.

Authorities started their investigation on Sept. 6 when a young girl sleeping in her bed was abducted from her home in the Garden Estates Trailer Park on Hodgesville Road. The male suspect took the child to an unknown location, sexually assaulted her and then returned her to her home.

Circuit Judge Butch Binford heard arguments Tuesday in the case of Dothan Police Cpl. Raemonica Carney, who was disciplined by Police Chief Greg Benton earlier this year after he was made aware of Facebook posts she made concerning Christopher Dorner, a former Los Angeles Police Department officer who is believed to have killed two officers and two others before being pursued to a California cabin where an exchange of gunfire occurred. A fire erupted in the cabin and Dorner died in the fire.

An 80-year-old Dothan man received a 10-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to molesting a 7-year-old Ozark girl.

Assistant Houston County District Attorney Banks Smith said Devon Burlingham, of South Appletree Street, pleaded guilty to a felony sex abuse of a child under the age of 12 charge. As part of the plea agreement Burlingham received a 10-year prison sentence.

A Dothan Police Department School Resource Officer is under arrest after being charged with having a sex with a student. During an investigation, authorities say the officer, Lanice Bonds, confessed to the accusations.

The investigation started on September 17 when the Dothan City Schools forwarded a complaint to the Dothan Police Department regarding a complaint of an inappropriate relationship between the officer and a high school student.

Christopher Carroll Lively, 36, was charged in March 2012 with first-degree rape and sodomy, second-degree rape and sodomy, and incest. Authorities said Lively allegedly committed the crimes against a girl younger than 16 for almost a decade in multiple different states.
