A police statement did not provide details, but the family of Rehtaeh Parsons has said she developed suicidal thoughts after she was sexually assaulted in 2011 and a picture of the incident was shared by phone and online.

Kasim Davey, 21, of London, wrote a strongly-worded Facebook message during the trial of a man for sex offences.
The High Court ruled he and Joseph Beard, 29, who was a juror on a separate fraud trial, “interfered with the administration of justice”.

The FBI announced Monday that 105 children involved in sex trafficking were recovered in 76 U.S. cities.
In Birmingham, three juveniles ranging in age from 13 to 17 were rescued. The 13-year-old is the youngest juvenile involved, according to an FBI spokesman.

Two Dothan residents face multiple counts of possession of child pornography following an investigation into online solicitation of child pornography.
Samantha Bryant, 30, and Ellison Ray Dooling, 51, both of S. Oates Street, are facing 44 counts each of possession of child pornography. Bryant and Dooling were arrested on Friday.

Anthony Dean Blackwell, 24 of Huntsville, was booked into the Metro Jail early Friday morning. Investigators said Huntsville officers were called to South Square near Voodoo Lounge around 1 a.m. for a report of a subject matching Blackwell’s description.
Witnesses flagged down the officer at the intersection of Westside Square and Fountain Circle and told him that Blackwell was running from the scene. The officer chased the subject and caught up with him. Blackwell complied and was taken into custody.
