Investigators say the men met the 14-year-old girl on a social media website called “Tagged,” a site where people can exchange pictures and messages. The teen’s mother found messages from older men to her daughter and called police on Dec. 31, 2012.

“Drivin drunk … classsic 😉 but to whoever’s vehicle i hit i am sorry. :P” was the early-morning post that quickly led to the at-home arrest of Jacob Cox-Brown in the Oregon-coast city of Astoria, reports the Daily Astorian.

Washington (CNN) — An international operation led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement aimed at child pornography and sexual abuse has resulted in the arrest of 245 suspects, officials announced Thursday. All but 23 of the suspects were apprehended in the United States.

The agency said that during the course of Operation Sunflower, law enforcement officers identified 123 victims of child exploitation and removed 44 of those children from their alleged abusers with whom they were living. The other cases involved victims who were exploited by people outside their homes or children who were harmed years ago and are now adults.

A picture that Zuckerberg’s sister posted on her personal Facebook profile was seen by a marketing director, who then posted the picture to Twitter and her more than 40,000 followers Wednesday.

That didn’t sit well with Zuckerberg’s sister, Randi, who tweeted at Callie Schweitzer that the picture was meant for friends only and that posting the private picture on Twitter was “way uncool.” Schweitzer replied by saying the picture popped up on her Facebook news feed.

Michel, 44, was a long-time science teacher at Rehobeth High School. He was sentenced to 36 years in prison Wednesday by Circuit Judge Butch Binford. Michel will serve three eight-year sentences for having sex with a student and four three-year sentences for the possession of porn material convictions. All sentences will run consecutively, meaning the prison term for each count will not begin until the expiration of the previous count. Binford also denied any probation request and assessed fines and penalties totaling around $6,000.

“This is the most horrible thing anybody could possibly go through,” the mother said, adding that her children still attend school at Rehobeth. “They will suffer daily.”

In the first case, Joseph Kyle Edberg, who was originally charged with a 12-count felony indictment involving the receiving of child pornography and the possession of child pornography, pleaded guilty earlier this week to a reduced charge of a single felony count of possessing child pornography.

Edberg, who will be sentenced at a later date, faces not more than 10 years in prison and a fine of not more than $250,000. Federal court records show Edberg remains released on bail until his sentencing hearing.
